Day one lockdown in Nepal (with Photos)

  • March 24, 2020

A nation-wide lockdown has been imposed today onwards in Nepal. While several people were arrested from various places of the country for defying the lockdown, most areas remained deserted.

As a more stringent measure to curb the outbreak of coronavirus, the government has warned that a curfew would be imposed if people refuse to stay at home. Security forces have also been deployed at several places to ensure that people are following the directives issued by the government yesterday.

The week-long lockdown was imposed from 6:00 am today in an effort to control the spread of COVID-19.
