Development should be common goal, says Nepal


Chairperson of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that all parties should work together in the matter of development.Laying the foundation stone of the city hall to be constructed at Gaur Municipality-2 of Rautahat on Monday, chairman Nepal said everyone should give up politics in the name of development and work together for quality and useful work.

He also expressed his happiness that the development is taking place at a rapid pace in the country.

He claimed that he had brought various projects in Rautahat for the wellbeing of its people. Stating that the federal, provincial and local governments have been using their budget for the development work, Nepal said the only thing that is needed now is curiosity and awareness.

In another context, leaders of Nepal said, “There is now a wave of leaders and activists joining the CPN (Unified Socialist) formed with the determination to advance the achievements of Nepal’s past movements and spirit of the communist movement to safeguard the constitution.”

Speaking at the same event, Minister for Urban Development Metmani Chaudhary highlighted that there was a need for a big project to resolve the problems of Rautahat district.

Minister Chaudhary expressed his commitment to take full initiative for the overall development of the district.

The city hall is being constructed by the Ministry of Urban Development, said the Ministry’s Secretary Dr. Ramesh Prasad Singh, adding, “The construction of the hall with a capacity of 500 seats will be completed within 2 years at an estimated cost of Rs. 200 million.”
