The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has issued open route permit for public transports.

The decision to allow public transports to travel all over the country without a route permit is made in order to maintain flow of people in public transport right after the government shutdown various educational associations, including schools and colleges.

DoTM has said that such decision has been taken to make commuters comfortable to travel in and out of Kathmandu.

As long as the route permit is open, any public transit route can be accessed anywhere across the country till April 15 without a route permit. However, vehicles in BB Highway will be allowed as per current rules only.

Similarly, the department has also decided to suspend Nepal-India-friendly bus service currently operating on 13 routes.
