#EnoughisEnough activists resume hunger strike

Activists of #EnoughisEnough, a campaign demanding a better COVID-19 response from the government have resumed their hunger strike,

tating that the government had failed to implement the 12-point agreement reached with the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), activists of the Enough is Enough’ campaign resumed their fast-unto-death strike in Basantapur of Kathmandu.

The campaign launched by youths of Kathmandu, who claim not to have been affiliated with any political party, on July 9 aims at holding the government accountable in effective handling of coronavirus.

Two activists of the campaign – Iih and Pukar Bam — had ended their hunger strike on July 7 after signing a 12-point-agreement with MoHP to address their key demands such as scrapping RDTs, dignity for migrant workers, and letting people move from quarantine centers only after conducting PCR tests.

The campaign initially drew the attention of youths through social media and protests were staged nationwide.
