A former Nepali football player has died in the United States due to coronavirus.
Masheh Panthi, who was a player for A division league from Friends Club of Lalitpur, died due to the global pandemic.
Friends Club has confirmed his demise and posted a message of condolence on Facebook page. The Club has expressed grief over the loss of a great sports person.
A resident of Kupandol, Lalitpur in Nepal, Panthi had been living in Centerville, Virginia of USA for the past decade.
He is survived by his mother, wife, a son and a daughter.
Though Covid-19 has not claimed any lives in Nepal as of yet, around 50 Nepalis have died due to the disease across the globe.
