Prime Minister and President of ruling Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the government would pick up pace as it would continue to work in favour of the people.
Prime Minister Deuba said so while inaugurating the district office of Nepali Congress (NC), Kapilvastu, using the virtual method, on Wednesday.
Addressing the party cadres, PM Deuba instructed them to make preparations for the upcoming local elections.
In his address, he assured that he would bring the entire party together.
Speaking at the same event, senior leader of NC Ram Chandra Poudel said Nepali Congress should lead the government in such a way that it alleviates disenchantment of the people towards politics.
Leader Poudel stressed the need for fulfilling the responsibility of institutionalising inclusive democracy in Nepal by making political parties, which are represented in the government, aware.
“It is time to validate the legitimacy of the government, as our government was formed after the fall of the Oli-led government,” he said.
The foundation stone of the two-storey building, which is constructed near the Taulihawa Land Revenue Office at the district headquarters, was laid by former Prime Minister and late Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala.
Nepali Congress Kapilvastu spokesperson Birendra Mishra said that more than Rs. 15 million was spent for the construction of the building and it took a decade to complete it.
