CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the Council of Ministers will soon get a full shape.
Speaking at an interaction programme on “Marxism and socialism in the 21st century’’ organised by Socialist Centre Nepal here today, the chair of the ruling partner said there was a new development in regard to the expansion of the Council of Minister since Wednesday.
“This morning we three: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and I had sat for a meeting and reached to a conclusion that there should be no further delay in giving a full shape to the government,” he said.
According to the former Prime Minister, the expansion of the Cabinet will conclude once a new political party registered yesterday will be verified.” He took time to argue that the ordinance to split political parties issued by the government was for safeguarding democracy, the Constitution and the republic, unlike past ordinances.
On a different note, Chairman Dahal said, “Three perspectives are noticed in regard with the Marxism. The first deals with the radical ideology about Marxism while the second perspective on class cooperation instead of class struggle and the third is about the moderate views of the Marxism.”
He pointed out the need of constructive thinking and wider discourse and dialogues about Marxism to come up with a new analysis. Also speaking on the occasion, Sanghiya Samajbadi Party’s Chair Dr Baburam Bhattarai said the world was almost convinced that socialism was an alternative to capitalism, but discussions were going to find an appropriate model of socialism.
As he said, the existing model of socialism has been a failed practice along with capitalism and broader discussions are needed to explore new forms of socialism. On the occasion, leader Dahal and leader Bhattarai released a book entitled ‘Agriculture and Socialism’ by CPN (Maoist Centre)’s central member Bamdev Chhetri Ghimire.
