Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has said the present government was committed to resolving the problems facing the Madhes community.
At a programme organized at Laukahi of Koshi Rural Municipality-1 of Sunsari on Sunday, Minister Karki said unless the Madhes community becomes prosperous, ambition of country prosperity will be unfulfilled.
“I’m for resolving the problems faced by Madhesi people, and for the prosperity of Madhesh,” he said, adding that Nepali Congress is the party that pays heed to rights of all castes, lingual and religious communities.
He further claimed that NC was moving ahead by incorporating all sides and sectors. NC has been prioritizing Madhes since 2007BS.
Government would pay heed to citizenship problems faced by Madhesi youths, he added. Minister Karki also welcomed youths entering the party.
Karki, who is also the spokesperson of the government, argued that government was well aware that country’s economy would not make headway to Sri Lanka.
“The statement that country’s economy is heading to Sri Lankan way is baseless,” he argued, urging everyone not to be swayed and deluded by baseless statements. It is a deliberate rumour to say that country’s economy is going the Sri Lankan path.
Once all sides make collective and coordinated efforts, national economy would be strengthened soon. (RSS)
