Identity of 41 established, 69 bodies found


Identity of 41 people who lost lives in the Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara on January 15 has been established so far while bodies of 69, of the 72 on board, have been recovered.

According to a statement of the Yeti Airlines, a Nepali Army helicopter has been in Pokhara to airlift bodies of the foreign nationals, crew members and of those whose identity has not been established to Kathmandu for forensic examination to establish identity.

Bodies of those killed in the air crash have been kept at the Pokhara Academy of Health Science (PAHS), and the bodies will be handed over to the relatives after the postmortem if they are available there and want to receive it.
