Indian national arrested from TIA after a kilo of gold found in his stomach


Police arrested an Indian citizen with one kilo of gold from the Tribhuvan International Airport, on Saturday. The arrested person has been identified as 31-year-old Rahul Rehmanan, an Indian national.

He was arrested by the airport security office at the arrival gate, according to the police headquarters. He came to Kathmandu from Dubai via a Fly Dubai flight.

When his activities were deemed suspicious, he was taken into custody. After which he was made to undergo an x-ray examination at Kathmandu Medical College.

According to the police, after confirmation, he was taken to Police Circle in Gaushala and made to defecate. He defecated four cylindrical packets of gold. Police have said further investigation is underway.
