Individual making fake promises of sending workers to Macau arrested

Nepal Police have arrested man for his alleged involvement in frauding foreign employment seekers.

Raju KC, 42, aka Binod Basnet/ Binod Mani Basnet from Handigau, Kathmandu has been arrested for taking a large sums of money from employment seekers luring them to send them to Macau on a working visa.

A team from Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku on Monday nabbed him after a complaint of him absconding after taking the sum of money from the victims was lodged at Nepal Police Office.

KC hailing originally from Chandrapur Municipality – 3, Rautahat, had collected over 1.9 million from service seeker, promising them of a lucrative salary in Macau.

Police have also confiscated two driving licenses registered under the name of Raju KC and Binod Mani Basnet from the accused.

KC has been sent to Metropolitan Police Circle, Kathmandu and faces fraud charges.
