KU starts yoga education at the undergraduate level


Kathmandu University has started teaching yoga as one of its four-year undergraduate courses.

The degree ‘Yogic Sciences and Wellbeing’ is being jointly conducted by the KU School of Arts and the KU School of Medical Sciences. It will be taught by highly qualified yoga experts and researchers.

During the course of study, students will get practical training and the opportunity to do internships and research in labs, health centres as well as yoga institutes.

According to the university, the aim of the course is to combine both knowledge and science along with eastern and western philosophies to create and fulfil positive thinking, integrity and a friendly environment in the country and the world.

Along with that, the focus will be on the production of human resources to make yoga better with more research and technological knowledge in subjects related to yoga.
