CPN (Unified Socialist) chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the goal of the communist movement is to maintain the prosperity of the people through a socialist system.
At a programme organized on the 73rd establishment day of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) here today, leader Nepal clarified that he had relinquished the CPN (UML) and formed a new party since the party had abandoned the ideals of the Marxism and Leninism.
Nepal, also the former Prime Minister, recalled how Pushpalal Shrestha had formed a new party in revolt after the ill tendencies were rife in the party he had formed. Likewise, he asserted he formed a new party to protect the communist ideals.
Leader Nepal shared that his party organization was expanded to the ward level in a short span of the formation of his party. On the occasion, Nepal welcomed over 100 newcomers to the party who quit other parties to join CPN (Unified Socialist).
