LMC Conducting Antigen Tests


Positive test result by using rapid test for COVID-19, quick fast antibody point of care testing.

The Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has been conducting antigen tests to identify people infected with the coronavirus. The metropolitan has informed that the testing, which began on Sunday, will last till June 17 and will be conducted on a turn-by-turn basis in all the wards of the city.
Mayor Chiri Babu Maharjan requested the city’s inhabitants to get tested if they suspected they had COVID-19. Deputy Mayor Gita Satyal also urged the city dwellers to get tested for the safety of their families and communities.
Testing people showing suspicious symptoms and people who have come into contact with COVID-19 patients, LMC aims to conduct 15,000 antigen tests in the 10-day period, the metropolis said in a press statement. The tests are being conducted by the LMC Case Investigation + Contact Tracing (CICT) team in coordination with the ward offices.
Chief Administrative Officer of the metropolitan Ganesh Aryal said that the health and safety of the citizens was the city’s top priority.
According to the press release, the test was carried out in wards 3, 4 and 20 on Sunday and in wards 1, 2 and 3 on Monday. Similarly, it will be carried out in wards 3, 4 and 10 on Tuesday; wards 21, 22 and 25 on Wednesday; wards 15, 23 and 24 on Thursday; wards 14, 26 and 27 on Friday; wards 5, 6 and 12 coming Sunday; wards 7, 8 and 9 coming Monday; wards 11, 16 and 19 on June 15; wards 13, 17 and 18 on June 16 and wards 28 and 29 on June 17.
