Locals Hope Development With Staff College In Banepa

Locals at Namobuddha Rural Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk district are hopeful that the construction of Nepal Administrative Training College (Staff College) in their locality would give an impetus to other development works here.

The College area spans across 28.5 hectare at Tateltar of Ward No 2 of the municipality and will be built at the cost of around Rs 3 billion. The physical infrastructures would be constructed across 3.2 hectare of the total land.

The disruption on the construction works for the College has been cleared after management agreed to meet the demands of the locals to involve them in the construction process.

Tateltar Stakeholder Society Chairperson Gyanendra Devkota shared that they had submitted a six-point memorandum to the college management that included prioritizing the locals while hiring human resources for construction works and procuring locally produced dairy products, vegetables and other food items once the college comes into operation.

Furthermore, demands included upgrading of the road linking Gharedanda to Tateltar, providing drinking water facilities to the locals and allowing the locals to use the garden made by the College among others.

Namobuddha Rural Municipality Mayor Tanka Prasad Sharma Timalsina said that it was a matter of pride that a college on par with the international standard was going to be built at Tateltar.

He was hopeful that more physical infrastructures would be built in the town once the College related construction works are over.
