Mahesh Raj Dahal sworn in as new ambassador of Nepal to Australia

Mahesh Raj Dahal, newly appointed ambassador of Nepal to Australia has taken an oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday in the presence of President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at a special function at the Presidential Office, Sheetal Niwas.

Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Chief of the Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa, among others were present on the occasion.

The new ambassador to Australia was sworn in along with the newly appointed ambassador of Nepal to Spain, Ms. Dawa Futi Sherpa.

Earlier, President Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers and under Article 282 of the Constitution, appointed Sherpa as the Ambassador to Spain and Dahal as the Ambassador to Australia.
