Family members of the Rungta family have shared a medical report as shared by Rajendra Medical Research Institute (RMRI) – the results have yielded a negative result.

After a few Indian media outlets claimed a Nepali man from Birgunj had tested positive for the novel coronavirus in India, Nepali media swiftly reported the same.
However, as per government reports of India, the man has only been tested for the novel coronavirus – results are awaited. Because the 67 year old man has been exhibiting flu symptoms, he is being kept under observation. However, an official result is yet to be out.
As of 22nd March, 2020 (06:30 PM IST), Bihar had a total of two confirmed cases and one death from the same. The deceased, 38 year old Saif Ali was from Munger district and had recently returned from Qatar.
Meanwhile, 67 year old Rungta, who has been suspected of contracting the disease has been kept under observation. He had contacted the local hospital after exhibiting flu like symptoms, and then referred to Patna Medical College. His swab has been sent to Rajendra Medical Research Institute (RMRI) and a confirmation is due.
Meanwhile, speaking to a local source who refused to be identified, the suspect had recentlly traveled to Dubai. He had also traveled to India a week ago, and started exhibiting the symptoms around 5 days ago.
Family members of Rungta have been kept under isolation, and further details upon contact tracing is awaited.
