Kathmandu, The government has tightened its grip on the new variant of corona virus, Omicron, to prevent it from entering Nepal. The government has made it mandatory for travelers coming to Nepal from 67 countries to stay in hotel quarantine for seven days.
The Immigration Department said in a statement on Friday evening that those coming to Nepal from 67 countries, including the United States, Malaysia and many European countries, have to stay in hotel quarantine for seven days at their own expense. According to the release, after staying in the hotel quarantine for 7 days, the corona will have to be tested. If the report is negative then quarantine will have to stay at home for 7 days. However, those who test positive will be sent to a designated isolation center or hospital, the release said. According to the Immigration Department, the Ministry of Health and Population has identified the risky countries and tightened the arrival of passengers from 67 countries in Nepal.
