The Muglin-Narayangadh road section in Chitwan district will be closed for four hours a day from Tuesday for the construction of four bridges.
Kiran Karki, project manager of Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project West Section (Narayangadh-Muglin), informed that they needed to cut mountains for the construction of the bridges along the Muglin road section.
Since there is no alternative route, they have to shut down the road section, he added. They will close the road section every day from 11 am to 3 pm in coordination with the Chief District Officer, Police Chief and traffic police, Karki said.
Although the construction work is being carried out at present, the road section would be closed to speed up the construction work and for safety. He said that they would close the road section for a few hours for a month and after reviewing the work progress they would decide a new time schedule.
There are 15 bridges under construction along the road section. The road is being closed for the construction of four bridges at present. According to the project, they have to cut the mountains at the narrow space of Simaltal, Kalikhola, Tuinkhola and Chisenji rivers.
