The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has extended concessional flights to four mountainous districts of Karnali Province.
The national flag carrier started flights to Dolpa from Thursday.
The services have been extended in an effort to mitigate the inconvenience people there have been facing for long.
Kiran Man Shrestha, chief of Civil Aviation Authority, Nepalgunj, said that the flight had extended concessional flights to four districts of Karnali out of a total five and that Kalikot is the only district left out for now.
The flight was initially launched in Humla and Jumla districts of Karnali from Nepalgunj, he said.
According to the flight schedule, the fare for the Nepalgunj-Simikot route is Rs. 7,295, Shrestha said.
Likewise, Rs. 6,270 has been fixed as the airfare for the Nepalgunj-Jumla route, Rs. 6,735 for Nepalgunj-Mugu route and Rs. 6,115 for Nepalgunj-Dolpa route, he added.
The NAC would operate four flights to Simikot and Mugu and two flights to Jumla and one to Dolpa.
Similarly, the NAC is scheduled to operate five flights a week through Nepalgunj-Bajura route, with airfare at Rs. 6,270. The private airlines have been charging more than Rs 10,000 per ticket for a chartered flight.
