NEB to conclude SEE examinations by end of May


The National Examination Board (NEB) has started preparations to conclude the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) within the end of May (Mid-Jestha).

Making ninth amendment to the Education Regulations, the Council of Ministers has decided to end the current academic session by mid-June and start the new academic session from June 15 (Ashad 1).

Controller of Examinations Ram Raj Khakurel said that preparations were underway to complete the examination within the end of May.

“The board has not set a date. However, we have started preparations to complete the examination within the end of May,” he said.

Issuing a notice in the Gazette on February 15, the government has given the right to conduct SEE to NEB. Following which, NEB has decided to print question papers centrally this year as well.

Controller of Examinations Khakurel said that the process has already started to print examination question papers.

According to a preliminary report from the board, about 500,000 students will be taking SEE examination this year, including regular and grade increments students.
