10 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Nepal on Sunday, taking the total number of confirmed cases the nation to 69.
Of the 10 new cases, 9 are from Nepalgunj and 1 is from Parsa District. Parsa’s case is a 36 year old male, and four females, five males aged between 7 to 58 years comprise of Nepalgunj’s 9. Further details were not furnished by Ministry of Health and Population, and at the moment are unable to ascertain if the cases were imported or community transmitted.
In other updates by the MoHP, a total of 13, 414 PCR tests have been done in Nepal till date. The number of Rapid Tests are 49,688.
There are 77 people kept in isolation on suspicion of COVID-19, and their tests are either yet to be taken, or results are awaited.
Of the 69 confirmed cases, 16 people have recovered and have been sent home.
