Nepal reports 23rd COVID-19 related death as cases reach 9,026


A permanent resident of Chhatrakot-5, Gulmi died on June 19 while staying in home quarantine.

According to Health Ministry, the 69-years-old deceased was a paralysis patient and had returned from India after treatment on June 7.

His swab sample was sent to Rupandehi State Laboratory for Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test after his death. He tested positive for the virus in Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) on June 8.

The person’s body was buried by Nepali Army and Nepal Police in family’s consent.

Meanwhile, Nepal has reported 9,026 cases, of which 1,772 have recovered.
