New Indian ambassador to Nepal arrives in Kathmandu

The newly-appointed Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra has arrived in Kathmandu.

He landed at the Tribhuwan International Airport today morning. He was received by officials of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

Kwatra succeeded Manjeev Singh Puri, whose term ended in December, 2019.

Before being appointed as an envoy to Nepal, Kwatra served as a joint secretary at the office of the Prime Minister of India and India’s ambassador to France.

Between July 2013 and October 2015, He has also headed the Policy Planning and Research Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India and later served as the head of Americas Division in the Foreign Ministry where he dealt with India’s relations with the United States and Canada.
