Hits Nepal Pvt Ltd has announced the nominations for 23rd Hero Hits FM Music Awards. Issuing a press release on Saturday, Hits Nepal informed that top Nepali songs and albums registered in Hits FM 91.2 between Baisakh 2075 till Chaitra 2075 have been nominated under as many as 16 categories, apart from the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Bartika Eam Rai has bagged the maximum number nominations this year under five categories, including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop/Rock Composition, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Similarly, Deepak Bajracharya has been nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop/Rock Composition & Record of the Year, Astha Tamang Maskey for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop/Rock Composition and Record of the Year, and Sabin Rai and The Pharaoh for Best Performance by a Group Or Duo, Best Rock Vocal Performance and Best Pop/Rock Composition.
Meanwhile, two of Anju Panta’s songs have been nominated for Best Female Vocal Performance. Her song ‘Aago Banera Jalayo Usle’ has not only gotten her nominated for Record of the Year but also gotten composer Ramesh Kayastha and arranger Ashish Abiral nominated in their respective categories for the same song. The song ‘Mayako Rang’ sung by Banika Pradhan is nominated for Best Female Vocal Performance, Best Composition, Best Arrangement and Record of the Year.
