More than 50 teams have so far received permits to scale Nepali mountains this Autumn season.
According to the figures provided by the Department of Tourism (DoT), which were last updated on Friday, 472 people from 51 teams have received permission to climb 10 peaks including Mount Everest.
As per the data, five people, four men and one woman, have obtained permits to climb the world’s tallest mountain.
Similarly, 34 people have obtained permits for Dhaulagiri, seven for Himlung Himal, six for Chandi Himal, five for Nuptse, four each for Kumbhakarna and Ganchenpo, two for Dhaulagiri II and one for Saribung.
However, the largest number of people, a whopping 404, shall be climbing Mount Manaslu this season.
Since the autumn mountaineering season is still open, the DoT expects this number to increase.
