PM Oli Holding Discussions, Cabinet Likely To Expanded This Evening

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is holding discussion with leaders of his party for expanding the Council of Ministers by this evening.

The Prime Minister is making preparation to induct new ministers in the ministries which has been looked after by him.

According to Baluwatar source, although the Prime Minister has only seven ministers with him, there are many more aspirants for the posts. So it is taking time to finalise the issues.

Bishal Bhattarai, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML, the main ruling party, said that the final list has yet not been prepared although the Prime Minister has been making preparations for expanding the Cabinet.

“I have heard, the Cabinet will be expanded by this evening as far as possible. Otherwise, it will be expanded next day. The discussions are going on,” said Bhattarai.

It is said that discussion with the leaders close to recently dismissed UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and home work to provide ministerial positions to Maoist leaders who joined UML has delayed the finalization of the list of ministers to be inducted.
