PM Oli’s kidney transplant successful, new kidney working well

Doctors have successfully completed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s kidney transplant surgery today.

The procedure lasted over four hours. Oli was taken to the operation theatre at 10:00 am today.

“The surgery is finished and his kidney is working perfectly,” Dr Prem Raj Gyawali informed. Oli has been transferred to the post-operative ward after his surgery.

Samikshya Sangraula donated her kidney to the prime minister. Shangraula is said to be a relative of Oli’s.

A team of medical professionals led by Dr Prem Raj Gyawali had performed the surgery.

This is the second time that the PM underwent a kidney transplant. He had a renal transplant 12 years ago in Apollo Hospital, India.
