Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has called for building a positive attitude for the development of an equitable society by ending social discrimination.
Releasing a book titled ‘Swornim Rahasya’ and marking the beginning of Swornim Yug Foundation here Sunday, the Vice President said one has to come up with the idea that what an individual contributed to the country instead of what the country gave to that individual.
The Vice President recalled that political changes happened in the country for developing a society sans discrimination. He expressed the confidence that the new book would offer motivation for self-discipline, transparency, and social development.
Though the Constitution of Nepal has guaranteed the provision of free education, this has not been implemented in practice and many children were still deprived of access to education, he regretted.
Minister of State for Education, Science and Technology, Bodhmaya Kumar Yadav, Foundation’s Chairman Manrishi Dhital and book’s author Khem Sharma also expressed their opinions at the programme.
