Prachanda and cadres hit the streets of Kathmandu, then visit Election Commission


Kathmandu, Nepal:

After early morning protests on the streets by senior leaders of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) along with other members visited the Election Commission to claim ownership to the party name “Nepal Communist Party” and subsequently the nationally recognised party symbol of the “sun”.

Thousands of supporters were seen in Maitighar, Baneshwor and other areas of Kathmandu before heading to the Election Commission.
