President Bidya Devi Bhandari has issued an ordinance relating to the division of the political parties on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
Bhesh Raj Adhikari, personal secretary of the president, informed that President Bhandari issued an ordinance related to an amendment to the Act pertaining to the political parties.
The president issued the ordinance as per Article 114 (1) of the Constitution.
It is said that the amendment ordinance provisions that a party can be split if 20 per cent of its either central committee member or the members of the parliament want so.
