Following the surging COVID-19 infection rate, prohibitory order has been imposed in a total of 31 districts across the nation.
Publishing a detail of the districts imposing restrictions to break the chain of the spread of coronavirus, the Ministry of Home Affairs informed that a full prohibitory order has been imposed in eight districts that have been the ‘hotspot’ of the virus.
According to the Home Ministry, Banke, Surkhet, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kaski, Kailali, Parsa, Dang, Kanchanpur, Palpa, Chitwan and Rupandehi are under complete restriction.
Similarly, restriction on public mobility has been imposed in Salyan, Sunsari, Jajarkot, Rukum (West), Dadeldhura, Jhapa, Gulmi, Pyuthan. Udayapur and Bajhang.
As the threat of COVID-19 has been increasing day by day, the local levels have also taken charge to impose prohibitory order.
Ward no. 12, 13 and 14 of Baglung Municipality, Gulariya Municipality 5 and 6 of Bardiya and other Bazaar areas of the district have also restricted public mobility.
Likewise, few areas of Marma Rural Municipality, Sailyasikhar Municipality and Byas Rural Municipality-6 are in shutdown from April 29. Mahakari Municipality has imposed prohibitory order from May 2 to May 8.
The Home Ministry said that few areas of Morang, Kavrepalancowk, Makwanpur and Bajura have been shut.
