The District Court Kathmandu has given permission to the police to keep the suspended captain of the Nepali cricket team, Sandeep Lamichhane, in custody for four more days.
Though the police asked for seven days, the court extended the deadline by only four days and allowed them to submit the report on Sunday, October 23, said advocate Saroj Krishna Ghimire.
Sandeep is police custody since October 6 on the charge of raping a minor girl. Police arrested Sandeep from Tribhuvan International Airport on October 6. The remand of Sandeep has been extended for the time today in order to forward the investigation into the case keeping him in custody.
