The government has begun the administration of the second dose of the Vero Cell COVID-19 vaccine from today.
Everyone above the age of 18 from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa, and Kavrepalanchok districts received their first dose of Vero Cell will receive the second dose of vaccine.
According to Dr. Jhalak Gautam, The Chief of the National Immunisation Programme all those people who received their first dose of the Vero Cell vaccine from April 7 to 28 will get their second dose from Sunday to May 25.
He said that a total of 290,000 people will receive their second dose of the Vero Cell vaccine against COVID-19 during this vaccination campaign.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has fixed 32 vaccination centers on all 32 wards.
