Seven new coronavirus cases; Total cases reach 109

Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed seven new cases of COVID-19 in Nepal, taking total national tally to 109.

3 people from Kapilvastu, 3 from Udayapur and one from Parsa tested positive for coronavirus via PCR test.

The samples were tested at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar and National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu.

Among the new cases, three are female and four male – three men from Kapilvastu of age 17, 18 and 18, one man from Parsa of age 62 and women from Bhulke, Udayapur of age 18, 45 and 65.

All of them are kept under observation and will be transferred to coronavirus treatment hospital shortly.

Udayapur, Nepalgunj and Biratnagar are marked as the coronavirus hotspots and
tests are to be increased in these areas.
