A modern shopping mall has been constructed with an investment of Rs. 250 million in Nepalgunj, the centre of western Nepal.
The mall has been constructed with the hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will not last forever and economic activities and development will revive soon.
Amid a COVID-19 pandemic, Western Business Group has completed the construction of a modern shopping mall at Surkhet Road in Nepalgunj, said Sanjaya Thapa, chairman of the business group.
He claimed that the mall was the first of its kind and well-equipped in Lumbini Province with an investment of Rs. 250 million. Out of total investment, about Rs. 150 million is collected from members of the business group and 100 million loan from the bank.
It is said that the mall will be brought into operation within a month.
Built on an area of 50,000 square feet, the place will have showrooms of various brands and an indoor gaming zone targeting various entertainment facilities, especially children, the company said.
“Apart from this, there will be world-class salons, saunas and spas, and food courts,” said Thapa, “For the first time in Nepalgunj, the mall aims to provide stores at low rates targeting small and women entrepreneurs.”
“As the shopping mall is not only a place to shop but also a place to find refreshment in leisure time. So, special attention will be paid to its interior attraction and decoration,” he said.
The mall will have western mart (supermarket), multi-brand mobile and gadget showroom, restaurant, coffee shop, and fashion showroom, he said.
The ‘western mart’ will be operated to provide employment to more than 60 people in the mall. The mart will be operated on the ground floor and first floor of the mall, Thapa said.
The mall is fully equipped with AC, capsule lift and adequate parking facilities.
Shailesh Lohani, business consultant of the company, informed that there will be food stalls of various local products of Nepalgunj outside the mall.
