Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today accepted the resignation letters of six members from his private secretariat as part of his plan to reshuffle both his private secretariat as well as the cabinet. However, PM Oli did not accept the resignation letters presented by his two personal advisors — chief advisor Bishnu Rimal and foreign affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai.
At a meeting held last Friday with his secretariat members and aides, the prime minister had urged them all to step down from their respective positions by the end of Kartik month. He had asked the advisors to voluntarily resign in order to ease the secretariat reshuffle .Oli is said to appoint a new private secretariat in Mangsir.
Most of the members who stepped down are related to press. They include press advisor Kundan Aryal, press coordinator Chetan Adhikari, photo journalist Krishna Poudel and public relation advisor Achyut Mainali, among others.
