Swing To Action To Save Lives Of Citizens: PM

The government has decided to use all its resources and skills to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.
A meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) held in Singha Durbar in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday decided to integrate the health system of the country against the pandemic.
“For this, we should work towards resolving the existing legal complexities to bring the Ministry of Health, and Provincial Hospitals into full operation, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister for Foreign Affairs, who is also a member of the Centre, said after the meeting.
Minister Gyawali said that the meeting has decided to request the concerned agencies for immediate supply of COVID-19 vaccines, operation of the oxygen industries in the country at full capacity and give concessions to the oxygen industries in electricity tariff.
The meeting also decided to request India for import of liquid oxygen, according to Minister Gyawali.
“No citizen should lose their life owing to lengthy legal formalities or due to lack of financial resources. If the process is cumbersome, do what you have to do to save the life of the citizens immediately by shortening the work procedure that can be done in a week or a day,” Minister Gyawali quoted Prime Minister Oli as saying.
Prime Minister Oli also instructed the CCMC officials to form a rapid response team if it becomes necessary and suggested easing all the legal and procedural formalities to save the life, Minister Gyawali said.
