Okhaldhunga, July 10 : At least three passengers died on the spot and other 17 were injured in a bus accident at Manobhanjyang rural municipality-6, Dadhuwa at 3.00 this morning.
Rajib Shrestha, police inspector, informed that bus driver Krishna Bahadur Basnet of Patthari-8, Jhapa, Maya Thapa of Solududhkunda municipality-5, Solukhumbu and Lal Bahadur Dhami of Kamalamai municipality, Sindhuli died on the spot.
Five among the injured are critical.
They are being taken to Kathmandu via ambulance. Other injured are receiving treatment at Ashtha Hospital in Ghurmi, Udayapur.
A night bus of Bhagyarekha Yatayat heading to Salleri, Solukhumbu from Kakadbhitta had fallen down around 25 metres off the road.
Investigation into the bus accident is underway, said the District Police Office, Okhaldhunga. (RSS)
