Two additional cases of Cholera confirmed in Kathmandu Valley, 23 people infected so far


2 people have been diagnosed with Cholera, taking the valley’s total number of infections to 23. The two new cases, a 12 year old boy of Kageshwori Manahara Municipality-6 and a 58-year-old man from Kathmandu-13 were confirmed by Director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Chuman Lal Das on Thursday.
“The infected boy has been admitted to a local hospital in the municipality while the second patient is receiving treatment at Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku” according to Das.
Of the 23, 20 people have recovered, and three are undergoing medical care.
