Two workers died when a temporary lift used at the under construction building of Bir Hospital was broken.
The deceased have been identified as Bhumi Kumar Chaudhary, 20 of Surung Municipality-4 of Saptari district and Nabin Chaudhary, 25, of Madanpur of Saptari district.
Similarly, Sachitananda Chaudhary, 20, of Madanpur was injured in the incident. He has been receiving treatment at Trauma Centre.
The incident took place when both of them fell down from fourth floor of the building after the wire of the lift was broken in course of unloading the construction materials, said police.
Bhumi Kumar died while undergoing treatment at Trauma Centre while Nabin died in course of making preparation to take at Trauma Centre for treatment, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tekunanda Limbu.
Preparation was underway to handover the bodies to their relatives after post-mortem, said police. Although the incident had taken place on Thursday evening, police informed about it yesterday.
