UAE flight scheduled to bring stranded Nepalis home cancelled

The first repatriation flight that was supposed to bring in Nepali nationals from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been cancelled.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation had agreed to the offer by UAE to send stranded Nepalis home at its own cost via eight 167-seater Air Arabia flights.

The first flight from UAE was scheduled to land at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu at 6:00 pm today.

However, officials in UAE have informed the Nepali embassy there that some technical details related to the flights have yet to be sorted out and that is why they had to cancel the first flight.
