Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal has said that the services provided by customs and survey offices would be made techno-friendly.
Inaugurating the Customs Office at Waling of Syangja today, Minister Aryal said, “Using new technology is necessary to maintain good governance.
One can get easy and smooth service from customs office as the services provided by customs offices have been making their services service-recipient-friendly along with use of new technology.”
There are 131 customs and survey offices so far in the country and these offices would be taken ahead as a model, she added.
The Minister opined that lack of capable human resources to use technology is challenging for us, adding that necessary training and orientation would be imparted to human resources in order to make service flow more effective.
Minister Aryal shared that service would be handed over to local level by amending some laws as some laws are complex for work execution.
Similarly, President of Gandaki Province Legislative Committee, Mohan Prasad Regmi, stressed the need of providing easy and smooth service of customs and survey offices making them technology-friendly.
The office building was constructed at a cost of 50.62 million. Land donors for the construction of office building were honoured on the occasion.
