Canada have posted a 195-run target for Nepal in their final ICC World Cricket League Division 2 match at Windhoek, Namibia on Wednesday.
Sent in to bat first after losing the toss, Canada made 194 runs in the stipulated 50 overs with the loss of eight wickets.
Nepali bowler Basanta Regmi claimed highest three wickets giving away 34 runs in 10 overs, Sandeep Lamichhane claimed two wickets in his 9 overs including a maiden.
For Canada, Srimantha Wijeratne top scored 103 not-out off 152 balls including eight boundaries and Hamza Tariq scored 24.
It is a must-win match for both sides to qualify for World Cup Qualifiers to be held in March.
Nepal and Canada have played twice with both sides winning once. Nepal had defeated Canada in their recent match by seven wickets during the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 in January 2015.
Nepal currently lie third in the points table behind Namibia who also has equal 6 points but is ahead by virtue of better run rate. Namibia is also playing in the other match today against UAE.
Only top two sides will qualify for the qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
