Liverpool kicked off the defence of their Premier League title with a 4-3 win over Leeds United in a thrilling encounter on Saturday evening.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side won the Championship through playing an ultra-high tempo game, squeezing the opposition high up the pitch and attacking at will.They came to Anfield tonight and looked nothing like a newly-promoted team playing the first game of the season away to the current champions.
Leeds showed Liverpool no respect in the right way, not changing their ways and proving to be a constant threat to Klopp’s men, not many teams will score three goals and more possession than the Reds at Anfield this season.
Bielsa might still have some work to do on the defence but Leeds are going to be a lot of fun this season.
