Nepali eve Sunmaya Budha claimed the silver medal at UTMB Mont-Blanc 2022 Women’s 100-KM Race held in France on Friday.
Nepali runner Budha who has represented The North Face team claimed the silver medal after she completed her 100-KM race in 11 hours 45 minutes and 44 seconds beating Abby Hall of the United State of America (USA). Budha missed the gold medal on the global stage by just 71 seconds.
Blandine L’hirondel of the host nation kissed the gold medal after she completed the race in 11 hours 44 minutes 55 seconds. Similarly, Abby Hall of the USA had to be satisfied with the bronze medal after she completed her 100-KM race at 12 hours 12 minutes, and 56 seconds.
The 100-KM Trail Race kicked off on Tuesday but Nepali eve Budha sealed her 100-KM race on Friday evening.
The UTMB Mont-Blanc 2022 Women’s 100-KM Trail Race was one of the biggest trail races in the world and this is also the hardest race in the globe. More than 25 athletes participated in the race. Budha represented Nepal.
