Nepalese run butcher shop Corner Butcher Block has opened for trading in Melbourne’s north Craigieburn. In an industry relatively new to Nepalese community, four young businessmen Amrit Marahatta, Sachin Devkota, Saroj Giri and Suraj Shrestha have got together to establish a professionally set up butcher shop to cater for local Nepalese and others alike.
Even though the business was conceptualized two years ago, Covid-19 pandemic delayed the process but finally the door has opened for meat lovers since last month.
Very optimistic with the initial response director Amrit Marahatta said to the Nepalese Voice , ” We are very encouraged by the way the community has supported our venture. In return we are determined to provide the high quality meats to our customers consistently. He added “we have left no stone unturned to match the quality of meats with the supermarket giants, from a custom cut products, top quality equipments to hiring a highly experienced human resource that could explain and suggest the best quality meats to meet customer needs , we have used all our resources to make Corner Butcher Block a one stop shop for meat products.”
The shop is expected to add good value to the local Nepalese community as the Hindu’s biggest festival Dashain and Tihar is around the corner.
