Santosh Kunwar has been elected as the President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Australia. According to the election commission, Kunwar secured a total of 6,839 votes to claim victory.
In the election held on Saturday, his closest contenders Bhairav Dhakal and Sanjeev Gorkhali Dhakal received 3,727 and 2,126 votes respectively.
Babin Mishra was elected as Vice President with 7,261 votes, defeating his closest rival Ramesh Paudel, who garnered 4,619 votes.
Chudamani Sapkota secured the position of General Secretary with 7,030 votes. His opponents Bharatmani Devkota and Arjun Gautam received 3,256 and 1,814 votes respectively.
Kalyan Khadka has been elected as Secretary with 7,180 votes, ahead of Ganeshraj Gautam, who received 4,528 votes.
In the Treasurer’s race, Nijan Chaulagain was elected with 7,087 votes, defeating Luna Siwakoti who obtained 4,456 votes.

Special Wings Coordination
Rinju Adhikari has been elected as the NRNA Australia Women’s Forum Coordinator, while Pratibha Shah was elected unopposed as the Deputy Coordinator. Similarly, Pukar Ghimire was elected unopposed as the Youth Coordinator.
The tenure of all newly elected officials will run from 2025 to 2027.
