22 Nepalis test positive for coronavirus in Bahrain

According to Bahraini authorities, 10 news cases of coronavirus infection among the Nepalis Diaspora were reported on Wednesday.

With this, the number of Nepalis infected with the virus in Bahrain stands at 22.The Nepali Embassy in Manama has said the newly diagnosed cases were among the 400 Nepalis recently quarantined.

They were quarantined after a foreign national was found infected with the virus in the camp where the Nepalis were living.

As of Wednesday, 349 persons were infected with coronavirus in Bahrain with the death toll of five.

Similarly, 467 infected persons have recovered whereas the country has tested 52,351 persons for the virus so far.More than 35,000 Nepalis are currently employed in Bahrain.
