Documents of the Nepali Embassy in Washington DC were robbed


Kathmandu, – The documents of the Nepali Embassy in Washington DC, USA, have been robbed. Embassy reported that money orders and cashier’s checks collected from the consular service camps operated in Dallas, Austin and Houston in the state of Texas were stolen.
The robbery took place at 12:03 pm local time on Friday. Immediately after the incident, the embassy informed the local security agencies. The notification issued by the embassy says that efforts are being made to bring back the robbed money with the help of security personnel.
The embassy has mentioned in the notification that it is trying to get back the looted documents after filing a complaint with the Houston Police Department and the Diplomatic Security Department in Houston and other agencies. The embassy has also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the clients in terms of time and resources.
